Refelting Your Pool Table Pool Table Dimensions |
When you make the decision to purchase a pool table, you have to
make sure that you have enough room for one. Tables come in 7, 8, and 9 foot
lengths, but these dimensions are measured from bumber to bumper, not actual
outside measurements... so be sure to take the width of the wooden part of the
rail into consideration. |
|
You also need to consider that the average que size is 57 inches,
so you'll need at least that much room all the way around the pool table in
order to be able to make a shot if the que ball is right against the rail.
(actually, you should have an additional foot or so, for the draw of the shot).
If you have a post in your room that will only occasionally get in the way, you
can get a short stick to use in those instances.
The bottom line...
for a seven foot pool table, your room should be 13'6" X
16'6"
for an eight foot pool table, your room should be 14' X
17'6"
For a nine foot pool table, your room should be 14'6" X
18'6"
Using these dimensions will allow plenty of room for you to
comfortably play pool, but rest assured that if you are a couple of inches shy
one way or the other, you'll still be ok. |
