Leveling The Slate

| When its done, it will look, and feel as smooth as glass. Roll the
excess that you scrape off with the putty knife back into the stick of wax. The
excess that comes off with the razor blade, will have fine particles of grit in
it, and shouldn't be used. |

Now to the pockets...you can see in the picture that the edge
of the slate is dark. This is from spray-on glue that was used before. If we
just put more on top of it, we'll end up with a small ridge in front of the
pocket. In order to prevent this buildup, take a putty knife, and just scrape
down the edge of the pocket. |

You only need to do a small area because the cushions cover
the rest anyway. |
